The answer is a Nuh.....NO! But you can get a system that will give you the next best thing to central air...Ductless air conditioning!
Electric units in Briston are generally not designed for central air conditioning. However, a few years ago, we installed a ductless system in our upper electric that has the cold air coming out above the main bath door on the upper level, and the compressor is on the large balcony off the living room. I believe prices are coming down and these systems are becoming more affordable, with some systems even providing heating.
I came across this helpful article on ductless air conditioning and you can click on this link to read more on the topic.
And for anyone wondering if the investment is worth it and will you get your money back...the answers are YES and YES! We always factor in a premium in the price for units we are selling because ductless a/c is a feature that is very much appreciated by most Briston buyers.
If you have recently installed a ductless system, why not share your experience and information about the unit with other Briston residents who read this blog? Or feel free to send me an email about it.
